The rules of preferences related to the Arabic language for Sheikh Amir Ali in his Tafseer Mawahib ul Rahman

Abstract

The scholars have made a lot of efforts in the service of interpretation and study of the Book of God Almighty throughout the ages, and this can only be done by knowing the rules of preferences and the principles on which his questions are based. Helping the correct interpretation, and to act as the balance by which he defines the acceptable interpretation from others. As for the rules of preferences, considering the language of the Arabs, it has a great interest among other rules of preferences, because it requires careful consideration and reflection on the texts of the verses, and the linking between them in order to arrive at the knowledge of what is meant by them. The commentators relied on it in their interpretations, and among them was the virtuous Sheikh Syed Amir Ali, may God have mercy on him, in his interpretation called Mawhibat al-Rahman. The researcher focused in this article on extracting the rules of preferences related to the Arabic language from his aforementioned interpretation, and ultimately evaluating them including the applied models.
