Abstract

The Prophet Muḥammad (PBUH) set the  most perfect standards for the conduct of international relations and diplomats as well. When the Holy Prophet (PBUH) migrated to Madῑna and founded Islam’s first state, He was conscious of maintaining cordial relations between Muslims and other communities, so He concluded the Charter of Madῑna. He made diplomatic relations with other countries. In this regard He made agreements, wrote letters and sent ambassadors. Under the directives of the Holy Prophet some companions learnt foreign languages in order to pursue meaningful diplomacy with those states where they were sent. The Holy Prophet exhibited excellent diplomatic skills that went a long way in establishing good and friendly relations between nascent Islamic state and foreign countries. In This paper the principles of International relations of the Holy Prophet Muḥammad PBUH have been discussed briefly and also suggested valid solutions regarding Foreign Relations in the cotemporary era.
