Allama Sabooni and His Methodology in Safwat Al-Tafaseer: A Research Review

Abstract

The Holy Quran is complete code of life for all mankind. Its teachings cover all sphere and corner of life. The practical pattern of the Holy Qur'an is the beautiful way of the last Prophet of Allah, Muhammad (S.A.W). Islamic scholars have written different Tafaseer to illustrate its teachings, commandments and subjects. Some are old Tafaseer while the others have been written in the contemporary era. One of these present Tafaseer is Safwat al tafaseer which is written by Muhammad Ali Saboni. It is written in Arabic language. Its methodology is unique and excellent. It is not so long nor so short. Actually it summary of some well-known Tafaseer as: Tafseer e Tabri, Tafseer e kashaf, Tafseer e Qurtubi, Tafseer e Rooh ul Maani, and Tafseer e Ibn e kaseer. The present research paper explains the methodology which is adopted by the author Muhammad Ali Sabooni in his Tafaseer Safwat al Tafaseer.
