Abstract

The presence of women in Quranic discourse is a distinct presence. The Quran is narrating women’s stories and mentioning them in many verses. Which indicates the interest of Quran highlight importance of female figures. Islam came as a mercy and equality between men and women, as Islam and the Qur’an were the founders of an integrated and harmonious society. Qur’an came sublime principles for the reform the situation of women. The Qur’an has separated women's rights in terms of social, economic and religious. Islam has eradicated false beliefs, and gave women a degree that they did not attain in any other civilizations and religions, and privileges and entitlements that were not granted to her in any religions. The Quran mentioned women rights and duties, in the discourse of Qur’anic verses we find righteous woman was mentioned such as Umm Musa and Maryam, the daughter of Imran, and the disobedient woman, such as Noah’s wife. The research paper sheds light on the role of women and their image in the Qur’anic discourse, as mentioning them is a strong indication in clarifying the role of women in various domain of life, including being a queen and migratory.
